As many of you know, every two years St. Mary's takes a group of students on an International Mission Trip over Spring Break. In 2014, we took 14 students to Ecuador, and it was an incredible experience for everyone. This year we are blessed to once again partner with Family Missions Company (FMC) as we head to General Cepeda, Mexico. While there, we will spend our days in service to the community, and our evenings sharing our testimonies at various worship services. General Cepeda is FMC's oldest mission site, and we are so excited to join in their mission, even for such a short time! I am always amazed at the way one week can change the life of a student, not to mention all the people we will encounter in Mexico!
Father Denzil and I will be accompanying a group of 5 students, along with one of our FOCUS Missionaries. Because of safety concerns along the border, we chose to fly to Monterrey. Travel, lodging, and food will cost about $1,100 per person, bringing our total fundraising goal to just under $9,000. We are so close to our trip, and so close to our goal! Right now we are only short about $3,000! Our students continue to invite their friends and family to join us on this mission financially, and have even started a fundraiser to get their peers involved. If you are interested in being a part of our trip, please prayerfully consider donating via our on-line portal. Any amount helps make this Mission a reality!
